Therapeutic process
Occupational therapy services typically include:
-
An individualized evaluation of the child, considering his developmental, clinical and occupational history. The occupational history includes his performance at home, at school and in any other significant setting.
-
A customized intervention to help the child develop skills aimed to successfully perform age related activities. In order to balance the “life demands” with the “child’s skills”, the intervention might also include environmental modifications, use of strategies at school, addition of specific activities to their daily routines (household duties, free time activities, etc.).
-
A re- evaluation to ensure that the goals are being met and/or make changes to the intervention plan.
*My regular Occupational Therapy process starts with an assessment, followed by 10 session’s therapy block, after which a re-assessment is made to determine the kid’s evolution. According to the results of the reassessment it will be decided on following steps (either to continue with the process or to stop). The whole therapy block
includes around 12 therapeutic sessions done either with the child, with his parents or with child and parents.
Therapeutic setting
My office is equipped as a small sensory gym, that also include possibilities for creative play and table activities.
The office is located on the 4th floor of a corner building in the proximity of Palackeho Namesti (square).
Address: Na Moráni 3, 120 00 Praha
Home and school visits are possible, depending on each particular situation.
Telehealth
Answering to the unpredictable scenario after the Covid 19 outbreak, OT services in the form of Telehealth are possible and available for families living in Prague or in a different location.
Telehealth services include sessions with children, with parents, with educators or other caregivers, home plans and school strategies, between others.
Each child will have an individualized plan, depending on his needs and on his family possibilities.
Fees
I follow the market price of private healthcare providers with similar expertise.
Often my services are covered by International Health Insurance companies, like CIGNA.
I also cooperate closely with families connected and supported by different Embassies located in Prague, like the American Embassy.
Unfortunately my services are not covered by VZP or regular Czech insurances. The families without health support can request 20% discount on my standard price list.
